All cavern and cave diving systems are located in rural areas; therefore, a car is necessary for transportation. There are very limited conveniences, such as restaurants, shopping, medical (if any) or entertainment (after hours), near the diving sites. |

Lake City, located between Interstates I-10 & I-75, offers over thirty motel/hotels to serve the needs of cave, cavern and scuba divers. Lake City has numerous restaurants for dining, as well as shopping (including a Super Wal-Mart open twenty-hours a day) and medical and dental facilities if any unexpected emergencies arise.

Weather: Winter mornings are crisp. Bring your woolies for those morning dives until the mid-morning sun warms up the day. Afternoons are always delightful for diving the cave sites Autumn and Spring provide some of the most ideal weather in the country. Cave diving becomes very popular at this time of year, especially for divers from abroad. Summer days call for bathing suits in the day, and the balmy evening breezes cool down the summer nights. Water Temperature is 72 degrees all year round; however, the air temperature changes accordingly. |
