The Extended Range course provides the training and experience to competently utilize air for dives to depths not exceeding 180fsw/55msw. The student will use staged decompression techniques and EANx mixtures and oxygen for decompression. The goal of this course is to train divers in the proper techniques, gas planning and management, equipment requirements and hazards of deep air diving to depths not exceeding 180fsw/55msw.
Each student must provide double tank bottom mix cylinders with a minimum capacity of 142 cubic feet, a travel mix cylinder with a minimum volume of 80 cubic feet and an oxygen clean decompression mix cylinder with a minimum volume of 40 cubic feet. Redundant depth gauges and bottom timers are also required. although an oxygen analyzer is strongly recommended, the instructor will have one available for use.
The Extended Range Course requires two days and four dives within planned stage-decompression limits. Curriculum consists of classroom sessions, equipment configuration, dive planning using appropriate gas mixtures for the dives planned and proper dive execution.
Prices: Private $500.00; 2-3 students $375.00 plus certification fee. The course fees do not include certification card, admission fees (where applicable), books or gases. Rental equipment is available if necessary.

The Extended Range Combo course can be combined with the NACD Stage Course three days providing the student has 50 cave dives after full cave certification. Students will make between five and six dives. The objective of the course, as taught in this format, is for students to learn dive and gas planning and management, placement of stage cylinders at pre-determined drop points and execution of a dive to distant point in a designated cave.
Price: Private $600.00; 2-3 students $450.00 per student. The above course fees do not include certification card, admission fees (where applicable), books or gases. Rental equipment is available if necessary.
Prerequisites: A minimum of 18 years of age, certification as TDI Advanced Diver and TDI Decompression Procedures (or equivalent) and a minimum of 100 logged dives of which 25 must be depths greater than 100 fsw.
